Since exiting the Republican Party, U.S. Rep. Justin Amash of Michigan is proving to be an equal-opportunity critic.

In an interview over the weekend, he discussed the response to his lone call within the GOP for an impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump.

He said “there are lots of Republicans out there who are saying these things privately, but they’re not saying it publicly,” describing that as “a problem for our country.”

Beyond his denouncement of Trump and members of his former party, he also reprimanded House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., for continuing to resist an impeachment probe.

“From a principled, moral position, she is making a mistake,” Amash added. “From a strategic position, she is making a mistake.”
