A war of words erupted between a prominent White House reporter and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee.

The Twitter spat came after political analyst April Ryan called for White House press secretary Sarah Sanders to be fired.

Sanders, Huckabee’s daughter, admitted she misled reporters last year in the wake of former FBI Director James Comey’s ouster, as revealed in special counsel Robert Mueller’s recently released report.

Huckabee interpreted Ryan’s call to action — “start lopping the heads off” — literally.

“So liberals–is this okay?” he tweeted. “Does CNN have the integrity to deal w/ this incitement to murder?”

Ryan was having none of it and tore into the 2008 presidential hopeful through a series of tweets.

“You sir need to sit down,” she responded. “You gave me a veiled threat not long ago. You call yourself a man of God? Boy bye! As your people come for me! My people see you and will do the same for you!”

Apparently referencing a 2017 interview, she added that “God is watching” and she has “tape” of his comments.

“By the way you should be celebrating Good Friday or do you even remember Jesus anymore?” she tweeted. “He would not come down from the cross just to save himself! He decided to die.”

Huckabee reacted by rhetorically asking if the White House Correspondents’ Association would “revoke April Ryan’s credentials,” prompting her to ask a question of her own.

“Will you get into heaven?” she wrote. “The answer is no!”

Sanders continued by calling Huckabee and Sanders “liars,” accusing the latter of being “afraid” of addressing White House reporters.

Ryan wondered why Sanders is “getting paid to be press secretary if there are no briefings.”

She referenced potential attempts to harm her in a “warning” directed at Huckabee.

“If anything happens to me or mine or anyone connected to me, you and your daughter and this administration will be held accountable!” Ryan continued. “So you better stop now!”
