President Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law thinks Germany’s “downfall” coincided with its recent immigration policy.
Lara Trump’s assertion came while discussing the German chancellor during a Fox Business Network interview.
“When there was a march across Europe by a million people who wanted to get into Western Europe, Angela Merkel let them in,” host Stuart Varney prompted.
“It was the downfall of Germany,” she said. “It was one of the worst things that ever happened to Germany. This president knows that. He’s trying to prevent that from happening here.”
The assertion raised some eyebrows among critical social media users.
