At least one Republican on Capitol Hill agrees with Democrats who believe the president’s actions warrant impeachment.

In a series of tweets this weekend, U.S. Rep. Justin Amash of Michigan offered his “principal conclusions” upon reading a report submitted by special counsel Robert Mueller.

He found not only that Donald Trump “has engaged in impeachable conduct,” but that Attorney General William Barr “has deliberately misrepresented” the special counsel’s findings.

“Few members of Congress have read the report,” he determined.

Amash went on to assert that increased partisanship is responsible for eroding the nation’s “system of checks and balances.”
