A reporter who has been with Fox News Channel since nearly the cable network’s inception says he has resigned his post.

In an announcement this week, Carl Cameron said he was initially drawn to the network’s promise of “fair and balanced news.”

Since then, however, he has become disillusioned and recently accepted a position as chief political correspondent at Front Page Live.

He said the network’s “right-wing hosts drowned out straight journalism with partisan misinformation,” prompting him to leave.

“What’s a former Fox guy doing here on Front Page Live partnering with progressives?” he asked. “Well, it’s about facts, not partisanship.”
