While several Democratic presidential hopefuls have expressed an interest in exploring reparations for groups including descendants of slaves, some on the right are promoting an entirely different concept.

In a tweet this week, Liberty University President Jerry Falwell Jr. shared his take.

“After the best week ever for [President Donald Trump] – no obstruction, no collusion, NYT admits [former President Barack Obama] did spy on his campaign, & the economy is soaring,” the evangelical Christian leader tweeted. “I now support reparations – Trump should have 2 yrs added to his 1st term as pay back [sic] for time stolen by this corrupt failed coup.”

Trump retweeted his supporter’s post and expanded in a tweet of his own that followed:

“Despite the tremendous success that I have had as President, including perhaps the greatest ECONOMY and most successful first two years of any President in history, they have stollen [sic] two years of my (our) Presidency (Collusion Delusion) that we will never be able to get back……….The Witch Hunt is over but we will never forget. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

Hours after a grammatical error in that tweet became a trending hashtag, Trump posted a similar message with the correct spelling of ‘stolen.’
