‘I think he’s not much’: Trump slams Amash again after latest impeachment comments

President Donald Trump repeated his earlier characterization of a Republican congressman after the latter put the topic of impeachment on the table.

Rep. Justin Amash of Michigan has previously shared his take on the Mueller report, asserting that Trump has engaged in “impeachable conduct.”

The president shot back on Twitter, trashing the congressman as a “loser,” among other things.

Two days after his earlier comment, Amash expanded on his opinion.

“People who say there were no underlying crimes and therefore the president could not have intended to illegally obstruct the investigation — and therefore cannot be impeached — are resting their argument on several falsehoods,” the congressman tweeted on Monday.

Trump was asked about the criticism the same day and unleashed on the Republican.

“I’ve known him and he’s been against Trump from the beginning,” he said. “He probably wants to run for some other office. I don’t think he’ll do very well. He’s been a loser for a long time. Rarely votes for Republicans, and personally I think he’s not much.”
