One of the president’s prominent supporters in the Senate is apparently siding with him following the latest in a string of sexual assault accusations.

U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said he only cares about Donald Trump’s denial of advice columnist E. Jean Carroll’s claim that he raped her during a 1990s encounter in a New York City department store.

“The president has denied it. … And that’s all I needed to hear.”

Another Republican senator had a different take on Trump’s assertion that Carroll was “not [his] type.”

U.S. Sen. Susan Collins of Maine called Trump’s denial “extremely bizarre.”
