A new poll from the Washington Post and ABC News shows President Donald Trump with 47 percent approval among registered voters — the highest of his presidency thus far.

Nevertheless, he remains underwater with registered voters as 1 in 2 respondents gave him disapproving marks.

The story is similar, if less positive, among voting-age residents. Forty-four percent told pollsters they approve of Trump’s performance compared to 53 percent who do not.

Results come from a three-day survey beginning on June 28 and has a 3.5-point margin of error.
