When a council member in Berkeley, California, received an invitation to appear on a Fox News Channel program to discuss a plan to strip gendered terms from the city’s code, he shot back with a public refusal.
“Unfortunately I won’t be able to come on the show,” Rigel Robinson wrote in an email he shared on Twitter. “Tucker Carlson is a dangerous, xenophobic, white supremacist goblin who I am not interested in engaging with.”
A Democratic state senator responded with approval.
“A man after my own heart,” Scott Wiener wrote. “Great work.”
