Are you satisfied with your job? Anything like an easy job? Do you feel a sense of peace and satisfaction in your work environment? What comes to your mind whenever you think of your job? How do you feel when you wake up every morning knowing that you have to work?
How do you feel about going to work ?
Most people work an average of 8 hours daily, Some work for more than 8 hours to meet up with their needs. The recent Coronavirus outbreak shows that only few people have some sort of savings despite working these long hours for many years. The question now should be, are we moving forward or backwards?
According to Wikipedia, the gap between rich and poor can be illustrated by the fact that the 3 wealthiest individuals in the world have assets that exceed those of the poorest 10 percent of the world’s population. This is a point worth thinking about.
No one expects to play around at work I suppose, every job requires some kind of physical or mental input from the worker. Whether the work entails using some kind of physical input or the use of one’s intellect, a worker consumes energy.
WHAT MAKES A JOB FULFILLING?
What makes a job fulfilling? Is it about how much money we get from work, the challenges we face or the new things we learn? Some would answer a straight yes, others would say it may be the connections you make at work.
Maybe the work environment and the job requirements or the benefits you get from the job, whatever opinion you may have, one certainty is that every job does requires some sort of sacrifice. You may have to sacrifice your time, energy, intellect and much more just to make ends meet.
What makes a job fulfilling? How would you define a fulfilling job? Are we all well compensated for our efforts? What criteria do we use to rate a good compensation? Is it about how much money you make? This will be a discussion for another day.
ARE YOU SATISFIED WITH YOUR JOB?
What do you need from your job that you are not getting? We all have different desires that need to be fulfilled. Some seek to gain more experience while others are more about the benefits that comes with the job.
Any job that does not boost morale, confidence or add something meaningful to one’s life may probably never fulfill a worker.
So, in the true sense many will say there is nothing like an easy Job, all jobs require some sacrifice of some sort. Take some time to think about what you do for a living and ask yourself this question, am I really fulfilled with my Job? If your answer is no, then you might as well consider thinking about your potentials and where you best fit in.
I will conclude with my personal opinion. I wouldn’t say there is an easy job because what one person finds easy may be difficult for another.
