Communism Forces Citizens to Give Up Everything
Born and raised in the Socialist Republic of România, Kahina Ailuromanta and others are speaking out about a growing danger in the U.S.
“In the ’80s (in România), Socialism was progressing towards Communism, and we were showing the decayed Capitalist West how well Socialism was working,” Ailuromanta writes in a viral Facebook post that details life under Communism.
“By which I mean food, electricity and water were rationed; we waited in queues for half the night to buy meager rations, and things like toilet paper, coffee or sweets were the height of luxury.
“Back then, listening to the radio on a forbidden frequency or owning ‘capitalistic’ music like The Beatles could land you in jail.
“Well, most things could land you in jail: Stockpiling food or gas, for instance, or complaining about the government, or making a joke. There was a journalist that landed in jail because he wasn’t permitted more than two colors in his printed newspaper. He chose two: red and green, so a picture of an athlete with our flag on her costume came out as having a Hungarian flag on it, by mistake.”
MAKING ROMANIA GREAT AGAIN
In 1989, the Romanian people decided to take their country back.
Recalls Ailuromanta, “They swarmed the streets, fought, and died. In the end, the dictator fled, was captured, tried, and shot on Christmas Day.
That year, on Christmas, I got oranges for the first time I could remember, a pair of red stockings and FREEDOM.
I will never forget that Freedom isn’t free. You need to fight for it, and maintain it—sometimes with your life—or people will take it from you ‘for your own good.’”
THE HORRORS OF POLITICAL PERSECUTION
“The political persecution in Romania was one of the worst in Europe,” Ailuromanta explains. “In my area, Saxons, Germans, Jews, and Hungarians were often simply ‘sold’ to other governments, or else they managed to run away; taking quite a toll on our economy and stripping us of our cultural richness.
“The deportation of your friends family was one of the worst actions taken by the Communists here. I guess we were lucky our country was too small to have the Siberian Gulag,” she wryly observes.
SOCIALISTS & COMMUNISTS ARE PLOTTING TO OVERTHROW THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
Ailuromanta’s advice to modern Americans is powerful:
“Keep your country great, and keep it as a bastion of Freedom. It’s what keeps this world balanced towards good.”
Today, Romanians are still struggling against Socialism’s hold on their country.
“After the Revolution in ’89, the country was taken over by much the same people—the populist lefties,” she writes. “They have the votes of everybody who wants free stuff. We are still a very socialistic country, with ‘free education’ and ‘free Healthcare’, so we’re still working on it…”
One reader on this post remembered seeing the live, uncut videos that CNN had aired in Bucharest in 1989. “Nicolae Ceaușescu used his Securitate to murder people demonstrating in the streets. He deployed snipers on the roofs and was shooting at random people. He murdered children in their mothers arms. It was sickening.”
The reader recalled that CNN could not use the footage, because it was too graphic.
“I am shocked at how stupid the Democrat Party, the Media and Hollywood are for pushing for Socialism,” he writes.
“How soon we forget. History repeats itself, because we don’t learn from our past mistakes. We must somehow hold the Media accountable. America is all that keeps the world from destroying itself.”
OTHERS WHO LIVED THROUGH COMMUNIST REGIMES ADDED THEIR STORIES
Liberals think Socialism is ‘cool’ and Capitalism is ‘baaaaad’…… Democrats are brainwashing and indoctrinating our young.
“(Romania) sounds just like my childhood in Communist Cuba,” writes Mery Cardenas in response to Ailuromanta’s post.
“I am an American now, and I will fight for Democracy and vote Republican 100 percent!”
Ninoska Carnabuci de Douglas pointed out, “Your description of your country in the 80’s is the description of my country today: Venezuela.
“Due to the same ideology, the once prosperous country now has the highest rates of inflation, rationed food, medicine, electricity and water. It makes my blood boil to hear this generation—a.k.a Millennials—praise Socialism. I am afraid we’re headed down a very bad road.”
He added, “If only liberals would hear and understand the plight. Liberals think Socialism is ‘cool’ and Capitalism is ‘baaaaad’…… Democrats are brainwashing and indoctrinating our young.
“We fell asleep at the wheel while the socialista penetrated our schools, entertainment industry, government, etc… Democrats make for a subversive government; shadow government; deep state; terrorists.”
FROM EL SALVADOR
TR Sauceda responds to Ailuromanta’s post with a personal recollection of growing up in El Salvador during the war of Socialism vs Capitalism:
“Twenty years of war; thousands of deaths. We used to call them ‘los subversivos’ or terrorists. They terrorize the population. Same as what Democrats are doing here.”
