UNIQLO is a popular clothing brand that has partnered with New York City’s District 75 to find the best of young forthcoming fashion talent. New York City’s District 75 provides highly specialized education for students with disabilities and on Wednesday, May 4th, UNIQLO and the Manhattan School for Career Development (751M) will recognize the recipient of the UNIQLO FAST FORWARD scholarship during a ceremony at the school.
The $20,000 grant is designed to go toward a college-bound senior who has positively contributed to the improvement of their community. The grant aims to help with the costs associated with the first year of college. In addition to the scholarship, UNIQLO has introduced a retail training program for students considering their next steps after high school to provide first-hand insight for a successful career entry into retail business.
UNIQLO USA CEO Daisuke Tsukagoshi, the Principal of 751M Ewa Asterita, District 75 Superintendent Ketler Louissaint and of course the Scholarship Recipient will all be present on May 4.
