We can understand Zionism not as a creed, political in nature, but as a Brit, an alliance. Alliances usually have enemies, mainly their detractors, but that doesn’t make them an enmity in themself, it merely means that they serve joint interests.
We can understand Anti-Semitism as a real threat to the dignity of peoples world-wide. We see the fear surrounding Anti-Semitism as one that leads to prejudice regarding race. We can view media power, banking and corporate interests, and political ideologies as not necessarily mutually exclusive. Each relies on another for its own purposes but we have to get past the idea that all work in conjunction to bring about one aim, the complexity of each domain outweighs this.
The Rothschild empire had its beginnings as a banking dynasty and supports causes of all different natures. Any elevation in status as to their name came from shrewd business maneuvers in the nineteenth century but we have to accept the notion that they form part of an occult elite as entirely absurd. History tells us that the goal of the Rothschild family came about as the consolidation of mass wealth through maneuvers during the Napoleonic wars. If we say that this influence that they gained helped them to institute a political creed we neglect to understand that democracy regulates the economy, rather than the other way around, which it does. Zionism equates to the jewish people exclusively as a spiritual alliance and not a political creed. We must balance the public perception of Zionism on the opinions of the Brit Shalom intellectuals and those of Ahad Ha’am as a spiritual philosophy and a move towards transformation. That way, jews can identify with zionism rather than having to bear the burden of a label simply for wanting borders of their own.
If we understand zionism as an identity then we can negate the spiritual entity. We cannot make any connections of propaganda to zionism. The jewish people have a homeland in Israel which underscores zionism but if we view it as a transformation process we can negate any political ideology attached to it.
It is debatable whether Rothschild money finances organizations such as The World Bank and The International Monetary Fund in order to keep a stability in the global economy. Statements such as “Rothschild means Israel” or “Rothschild means zionism” makes a harmful sweeping generalization which removes fact for the very propaganda that conspiracy theorists themselves propagate. We see a power structure that runs from top down and money that finances the world economy as administered by The World Bank or The IMF. We should view any political ideology attributed to the Rothschilds not as the thing that places them in positions of power but rather that their political persuasions feature merely as appendages of their position.
Significant numbers of Jewish people are not Zionists and oppose the creed while many Zionists are not Jewish. These include the Christian Zionists and Obama’s former vice-president and current presidential candidate, Joe Biden, who told Israeli television “I’m a Zionist.”
If, as Biden says, you don’t have to be a Jew to be a Zionist, how can it be a racial rather than a political movement? It can’t. It’s just made to appear like that to manipulate public perception because opposing Zionism then becomes opposing Jewish people as a whole and the “you’re a racist” card can be played over and over.
