ATLANTA, GA — Saturday night, the 2019 Kimmie Awards celebrated the finest in beauty, fashion, and hair while honoring America’s best in television, film, music, and literature. The Kimmie’s were hosted by internationally recognized comedian/actress Kiana Dancie (best known for Kevin Hart’s LOL Network, Netflix’s Film Sextuplets, B. E. T.’S One Crazy Christmas, and formerly of Sister Circle) and radio personality (Rickey Smiley Show) and hip hop artist Headkrack. This year celebrated 5 years of impactful contributions and performances from the hottest names in the business, coupled with appearances from the nations most talked-about influencers.

This highly anticipated event was held Saturday, May 4, 2019, at the Sheraton Hotel located in beautiful downtown Atlanta. The action-packed weekend started with an “Invite Only” VIP mixer on Friday night (5/3), featuring delectable bites by Chef Phil, vegan hor ‘d oeuvres by 2 Chefs + a Pan, sweet treats by Chef Phylicia Renae, and Spirits by Moskato Life. This was followed by Saturday’s “Illustrious Woman” Daytime Spa Day Event which will include mini massages, manicures, facials, amazing vendors, lite bites by Chef Tom, Spirits by Plush Vodka, and so much more.

The Kimmie’s Weekend continued with a Spa Day Saturday morning, featuring free massages, manicures/pedicures, laser-liposuction, and mimosas. “More than ever, the Kimmie Award’s goal is to continue to highlight those who many times are overlooked for their life-changing, trend-setting, or charitable contributions,” says SHEEN Magazine Publisher Mrs. Kimberly Chapman.” She continues, “I think my amazing team did just that with the VIP Kick-Off party Friday night,” which included free food from the award-winning 2 Chefs & a Pan, Chef Phill, and pastry Chef Phylicia, with libations from Maskato Vodka.” If that wasn’t enough, free hairstyles were providing by Chapman products Nairobi Professionals and makeup as well from Bovanti Cosmetics. This isn’t even taking into account the over (50) vendors. It was certainly a spa day second to none. “If you missed this year, you certainly missed a treat,” concludes Chapman.
