They won’t be making too many changes from their line-up which got defeated by KKR a few days ago. Mandeep Singh could be left out along with Murugan Ashwin. Sarfaraz Khan or Karun Nair may come back into the side with Ankita Rajpoot.
Chennai Super Kings, led by MS Dhoni, has secured a place in the top two on the points table. Knowing the way the team plays, it is unlikely that CSK would make a lot of changes to their winning combination. They recently defeated Delhi Capitals by 80 runs at home. Harbhajan Singh could make way for Shardul Thakur considering the pitch in Mohali but rest should be same for the Chennai side.
MI vs KKR Team News
Can @KKRiders complete a season double or will the hosts avenge their earlier defeat?
— Star Sports (@StarSportsIndia) May 5, 2019
Mumbai Indians were the third team to qualify for the playoffs when they beat Sunrisers Hyderabad in Mumbai a few days ago in a clash which went down to a super over. As a result, they would be pushing hard to win this match and secure either of the top spots on the points table. Consequently, MI have won eight of their 13 matches.
Probably, Barindar Sran and Evin Lewis might be dropped in favor of Ishan Kishan and Beuran Hendricks.
First of all, Kolkata Knight Riders are coming into this match after beating Kings XI Punjab by seven wickets. KKR would be confident as one win will see them through to the playoffs. They have won six out of their 13 matches so far in this competition. Dinesh Karthik is unlikely to make any changes to the lineup which faced KXIP for the reason that it is a winning combination.
