England will start as the favorites once again in their second match at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, when they take on Pakistan on Monday, June 3.
England 54/2 in 8,2 overs
Pakistan 348/8 in 50 overs
Pakistan score 69/0 in 10 overs.
The match starts at the Trent Bridge Cricket Ground in Nottingham at 9:30 AM GMT, 2:30 PM PKT.
England has started their home World Cup campaign with the bang as they defeated South Africa by 104 runs in the opening match. Pakistan, on the other hand, had a horrid start against West Indies as they got beaten by seven wickets after scoring just 105 runs.

Wood likely to replace Plunkett
England would be really happy how the tournament has started for them, amidst all the pressure of featuring in it as the hosts. According to the Cricbuzz report, Liam Plunkett may sit out for this outing. Mark Wood will get his chance after missing out in the previous match. Rest of the line-up is expected to stay as it was in the opening match. England would start as the favorites having beaten Pakistan in an ODI series 4-0 earlier this summer.
This is much more like it from Pakistan.
Some hitting like this has taken them to 45 runs off just 6.2 overs.

Malik to sit out for the second match as well
Shoaib Malik, who missed the previous match against West Indies, is expected to sit out for this match as well. Even after the poor batting performance in that match, Pakistan is likely to stick to the same composition. With Shadab Khan available, skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed could like to introduce another pacer in place of Imad Wasim. Mohammad Hasnain and Shaheen Afridi are his options. This could also mean Wahab Riaz getting another chance to cement his place in the side.
The Trent Bridge wicket has been famous for good batting surfaces in recent times. But, as the pitches are being made for the World Cup under the jurisdiction of ICC, this pitch might have something both batsmen and bowlers. As it is an early start, there could be some swing on offer for the seamers. Runs could come in as the day progresses.
