Back-on-track Pakistan face their fellow Asian giants

Pakistan went in with an extra batsman in the previous match and Sarfaraz Ahmed decided to have Mohammad Hafeez and Shoaib Malik bowl 10 overs. The trick did work well for the captain, as the duo produced two wickets between them and also were economical as per the context of the match. According to the Cricbuzz report, Pakistan has reported having a fully fit side. Hence, it is unlikely that Pakistan will make any changes to their line-up.

Mendis on the radar for selection once again

Sri Lanka is likely to bring in a player or two in their XI from their previous match, which they won against Afghanistan. Jeevan Mendis could be a good option as he can bat and bowl, giving an assurance to the captain that they bat deep. If Mendis comes in, Suranga Lakmal is likely to warm the benches. Other than this, Avishka Fernando could also come in place of Lahiru Thirimanne.

The county ground in Bristol is one of the grounds in the country which has seen lots of runs over the past several years. The short boundaries and a good batting wicket which aids the batsmen immensely. The weather is expected to be rainy throughout the day, which could mean a shortened match on Friday.
