Pop superstar Jennifer Lopez is still a fly girl at age 49, thanks to a low-carb, high-protein diet and rigorous workouts.

Lopez recently showed off her chiseled abs in an Instagram photo that she snapped during a dance rehearsal.

In the picture, JLo glows in a white exercise bra and pink yoga tights that spotlight her washboard abs.

Tour will celebrate JLo’s milestone 50th birthday

Lopez will kick off her North American tour on June 7 to commemorate her 50th birthday, which is on July 24.

The tour is JLo’s first in six years, and it will make stops in 25 cities across North America. Lopez announced the tour in February 2019 on the Ellen DeGeneres Show (see video).

“My birthday’s in July, and so this summer I decided I wanted to do something big for my birthday because it is a big birthday,” Jennifer said. “It’s just a small amount of shows, but we’ll be out all through June and July.”

The tour kicks off June 7 in Los Angeles and wraps up in Miami on July 25, the day after Lopez’s 50th birthday.

JLo follows organic, low-carb diet that limits alcohol

To prepare, JLo — who’s already in top shape — has been attending grueling dance rehearsals, sticking to an organic diet, and working out extra-hard at the gym.

Lopez recently flaunted her sizzling bikini body on Instagram, to the delight of her 94 million followers.

Jennifer says she generally sticks to an organic, high-protein diet that limits alcohol and caffeine, Harper’s Bazaar reported.

“I’m a very social person and love spending time with my friends and family, so when we go out to eat I try to make healthy choices,” Lopez says. “I’ll have a salad or some fish with veggies. And I make sure I drink lots of water throughout the meal.”

Lopez: Daily exercise keeps me happy

Lopez says drinking plenty of water keeps her skin supple and prevents fatigue. When she has a craving, Jennifer says she usually prefers a high-protein snack.

“Protein is my go-to whenever I start having cravings,” she said. “It fills me up and keeps me full longer. It’s a great muscle fuel.”

In addition to eating well, Lopez works out regularly. She usually lifts weights and does intense cardio exercise that burns fat and builds stamina.

Like many fitness buffs, Jennifer Lopez says she exercises only because it makes her look great in a bikini, but because it makes her feel great.

“I am 100% convinced that working out is part of what makes me so happy,” she told Hello! “Dance has always been a huge part of my life and taking the time to move my body and do something that’s so good for me is key to my happiness.”

The former high school track added: “I really believe that when you take care of yourself and work to stay healthy, you’re better able to take care of those you love. So working out is definitely a priority for me.”
