Bethenny Frankel, star of the “Real Housewives of New York,” flaunted her fit bikini on Instagram during a weekend getaway to Palm Beach, Florida.

Frankel later deleted the photos (see screenshots below). The snapshots show Bethenny lounging around on the beach on a sunny afternoon.

Portion-Controlled Diet and Yoga Are Her Fitness Secrets

As you can tell, the fitness guru is in sensational shape at age 48. Bethenny credits a portion-controlled diet and yoga workouts for her youthful physique.

The 5-foot-6 Frankel maintains her sleek 115-pound bikini body by eating healthy, organic foods in small portions.

However, she still indulges her favorite snack foods, such as pizza and French fries — she just doesn’t consume giant portions.

“I eat French fries, I eat pizza,” Bethenny confessed to E! News. “I don’t binge. I don’t get emotional about food the way that I used to, and the way that many women do.”

Bethenny Frankel Suffered from Anorexia and Bulimia For Years

Frankel didn’t always have such a sensible approach to fitness and health.

Bethenny admits that she suffered from the eating disorders anorexia and bulimia during her twenties and thirties, and has lost and gained the same 20 pounds for years due to her past obsession with food.

“I spent my entire life being obsessed with dieting,” Frankel told Us Weekly. “Bingeing and then fasting or starving. Forbidding everything. That’s how I used to be: up and down 5 pounds every single day, to the extremes. My metabolism was totally wrecked.”

Bethenny’s other fitness secret is to maintain an active lifestyle. Frankel is a huge fan of yoga, so she does that as often as she can.

Frankel underscored that you don’t have to go to the gym and sweat profusely to get a good workout. Walking or stretching or doing calisthenics for a few minutes all count as exercise.

“I’m not dripping in sweat and manic about exercise at all,” said the divorced single mom.  “If I’m feeling stressed out as I have recently, I’ll be doing yoga more.”

Thanks to her sensible but consistent approach to diet and exercise, Bethenny now has a better bikini body at age 48 than she did at 38 or 28.

“Exercise should be like a good friend that if you don’t see for a while, you welcome and you are nice to and have a good relationship with when you do reconnect,” Frankel said.

As HVY reported, another celebrity yoga fan is supermodel Christie Brinkley, who still has a hot bikini body at age 65.
