Wild Bill is not your ordinary British police procedural drama. If you are looking for a production similar to Inspector Morse, Lewis and possibly Endeavour, this is not it. Wild Bill is something entirely new. Produced by televised on ITV, the first episode of the series hit British television screens on Wednesday, 12 June 2019.
What is Wild Bill about?
Wild Bill, co-created by Dudi Appleton, Jim Keeble and David Griffiths, revolves around American police chief Bill Hixon. Hixon relocates to Lincolnshire with his 14-year-old daughter Kelsey. Bill is the new chief constable of the East Lincolnshire police force.
The series is distinctly different from other police dramas in that the title character is looking at British policing from an outside perspective. The title character was apparently written for Rob Lowe to play. Consequently, the actor fits the character like a glove.
Who is in the Wild Bill cast?
Rob Lowe, best known for playing Deputy White House Communications Director Sam Seaborn in the political drama The West Wing, leads the cast. In addition to playing the title character, Lowe also works on the series as an executive producer.
Further to Lowe, the series also stars Aloreia Spencer, Bronwyn James, Anthony Flanagan, Divian Ladwa, Anjli Mohindra, Angela Griffin, Tony Pitts, Rachael Stirling and Vicki Pepperdine as Kelsey Hixon, DC Muriel Yeardsley, PC Sean Cobley, PC Drakes, Deputy Chief Constable Lydia Price, local journalist Lisa Cranston, Crime Commissioner Keith Metcalfe, Lady Mary Harborough and the pathologist Broadbent, respectively.
Where is the filming locations for Wild Bill?
The filming locations for the series include London and Lincolnshire. For people not familiar with the coastal county, Lincolnshire is in eastern England. It has borders with Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Rutland, Leicestershire, South Yorkshire and East Riding of Yorkshire. The coastal country has nine districts. The district where Wild Bill is set is Boston.

Will there be a Second Series (Season)?

The last episode will hit television screens on Wednesday, 17 July 2019. Currently, ITV has yet to make any announcements pertaining to a second series (season) going into production.
